SCROLL DOWN

Funhouse is a new magazine of writing, illustrations and comics based in East London

We want to make reading fun again and to bring writers and illustrators together. We’re here for those who feel like outsiders or those who feel their work is too strange for other magazines.

Explore the body in issue 1 with transformations, disappearances, punched faces, missing noses, big noses, wolves, castrations, buttocks and rabies.

The first issue features poems from The Sick Rose and Crucial Interventions author Richard Barnett, short stories from Christopher Linforth, Brandi Wells, Patty Cottrell and Jason Schwartz, as well as illustrations from Guy Field, Felix Decombat and Sebastian Schwamm. Alex Widdowson’s coming of age comic involves a set of testicles and some bolt cutters, and Adam Tedesco’s essay charts a rabies outbreak in New York.

Funhouse Issue 1 can be purchased in selected bookstores and on our online shop.
